After starting the 2013 season 6-3, the Detroit Lions appeared headed to the playoffs. Unfortunately, the wheels fell off along the way. The Lions won only once in their final 7 games. Head coach Jim Schwartz took the fall. After five seasons, he was fired by Detroit.
During his tenure with the Lions, Schwartz went 29-51. After he led the team to a winning record in 2011, it appeared as if everything was going in the right direciton. Unfortunately, that turned out not to be the case.
Look for Detroit to bring in an offensive-minded head coach. The team scored 20 points or fewer in the final four games fo teh season — and that’s unacceptable for a team with so many offensive weapons.
