Odell Beckham Jr. comes from a very athletic family so it’s not a surprise that he’s an explosive athlete himself. While his stats weren’t always great at LSU, it was obvious that he had great physical tools.
While he has a lot of work to do to master the wide receiver position in the NFL, he’s likely to be a first round draft pick for one reason: His ability as a return man. He could step in and be a top flight returner from Day 1.
At the combine, he tested out as extremely fast (4.43 40-yard dash) and with a high vertical (38.5 inches). That will help convince a team to draft him — and he should provide healthy dividends.
