Lt. Edward Walsh Killed in Boston Fire

    A firefighter identified as Lt. Edward Walsh has died in today’s fire in Boston. This 43-year-old had three children under ten years old and was said to be very dedicated to his family and his job. He died when he became trapped in the basement of a home involved in the 9-alarm blaze.

    Authorities say the winds that nearly hit 50 miles per hour played a big role in the fire spreading. While the destruction was massive, it would have been even worse if not for this man’s heroic work.
