While everyone has been excited that the filming for Marvel’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron is underway, a tragedy has marred the production. This past weekend, a dead body was found on the set in Seoul, South Korea but details are still emerging.
For the first time ever, the Mapo Bridge was shut down for filming of a movie and the unthinkable happened. Director Joss Whedon was already publicly apologizing to locals for causing traffic delays when a security guard spotted a body floating in the water under the bridge.
From early reports, it is believed that the person died about two weeks ago. People who are familiar with Mapo Bridge may be aware of its reputation for being a popular spot to commit suicide.
Hopefully, the family of the deceased will have closure since, if the person has been missing a couple weeks, they have probably been worried. More than likely, this sad news will be on the minds of moviegoers when Age of Ultron screens in theaters.
