A former college football player is fighting for his life. Isaac Kolstad, who was a linebacker at Minnesota State University in Mankato and had just graduated, was reportedly attacked by quarterback Philip Nelson, a Mankato native who attended Minnesota before transferring to Rutgers. What exactly happened isn’t known but reports indicate the QB kicked the linebacker twice in the head while he was on the ground.

Look down the page for 9 pictures of Isaac Kolstad, who had been unresponsive for approximately ten minutes when paramedics arrived. He’s currently listed in very critical condition and doctors say he is fighting for his life.

If he ends up dying, don’t be surprised if Nelson gets charged with murder. As it stands, his college football career could be over — unless there is a big misunderstanding. However, if the reports are true that he kicked a man while he was down, he deserves whatever punishment is forthcoming.
