Not all drive-through menu options are created equal — some fast food choices are far worse than others. And while we all know the best choice is to skip it altogether, sometimes a greasy bag of food is just necessary.
So if you’re going to enjoy a fast food meal and you’re maybe sort of watching what you eat, here are 10 of the worst fast food choices you can make, in no particular order. And remember: none of these include sugar-filled sodas and none include fat-packing sides like french fries.
McDonald’s Bacon Clubhouse Burger
Bacon, caramelized onions, white cheddar cheese…what’s not to love about the Bacon Clubhouse Burger from McD’s? Probably the nutrition info. Containing 720 calories, 40 grams of fat, 51 grams of carbs and 1,470 mg of sodium, it’s not your best choice.
Burger King Triple Whopper with Cheese

Jack In The Box Brunch Burger Munchie Meal
Source: Dad’s Dish
We all love Jack In The Box for those nasty-but-so-good tacos when we’re drunk at 2 am. Make sure to stick with them, because many of the other menu items are among the worst fast food choices you can make. This “Munchie Meal” will cost you 1,708 calories, 106 grams of fat, 135 grams of carbs and 2,993 mg of sodium. Don’t be deceived by the picture, which includes a soda. That’s not counted in the nutrition info. Better make it a Diet Coke.
Sonic Super Crunch Chicken Strip Dinner

In addition to the four chicken strips, this Sonic meal includes a side of tots, Texas toast and a single, lonely onion ring. And we hope you enjoy that onion ring, because the entire meal packs 1,080 calories, 51 grams of fat, 118 grams of carbs and 2,390 mg of sodium.

Dairy Queen Quesadilla Basket
Source: Dairy Queen
I’m not entirely sure why anyone would order a Quesadilla Basket at Dairy Queen. If you’re hitting the DQ drive-through, it should be for some sort of calorie-laden dessert. But if you are going to eat actual food at the home of the Blizzard, make sure it’s not the Quesadilla Basket. At 1,100 calories, 57 grams of fat, 103 grams of carbs and 2,660 mg of sodium, it’s among the worst fast food choices you can make.
