“Fat Shaming” and “Thin Privilege” are two phrases that make their way across the social justice infested Tumblr all the time. The idea is that people who are thin are only that way because they have the ability to be so, and that their fitness is shaming to fat people who can do nothing about it.
This fitness guru found herself on the receiving end of this social justice mentality, when one of her readers felt insulted by her merely posting a photo of her healthy meal. So offended was this SJW (social justice warrior) by her enthusiasm to keep herself fit, that she finally had to speak up on behalf of those whom she continually “fat shames” by simply posting about exercise and eating right.
The solution? That this blogger needs to stop posting about all things healthy, and reminding her that she had a responsibility to her readers to make sure none of their feelings were hurt. The blogger was polite, but refused, and things went downhill from there. In the end, the blogger handled herself masterfully, the SJW on the other hand? Well, you can read the exchange below.
I salute this blogger for standing up, not only for keeping herself healthy, but for shutting down the social justice police infesting today’s society.
