Fans of Wrestlemania just got one more reason to be excited for the 32nd installment this spring. A long lost son is coming home and, undoubtedly, will make things a lot more interesting.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be at Wrestlemania 32 in April 2016, according to his Instagram account. The former WWE star-turned-actor shared a photo of himself in the ring with the caption: ”It’s official: People’s Champ is coming home to do 3 things with the people: set an all-time attendance record, electrify Dallas like never before & make all time #Wrestlemania history. And we have fun. Ok, that’s four things but you know what the hell The Rock’s sayin’…Thank you #WWEUniverse! It’s always an honor coming home and I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”

It’s not clear what he’s going to be doing but we do know that he showed up with Ronda Rousey last year to get the crowd ready for Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. I’m going to go ahead and say that it’s highly unlikely that he’s going to strip down, oil up and step into the ring for any real action, though. How amazing would that be, though? People would go nuts!
Either way, it’s cool that Johnson is embracing his roots rather than trying to forget about them. In an interview with E! News a few years ago, he explained: “I appreciate where I came from and I appreciate the wrestling industry. Even more so I appreciate the fans, and they’ve been there for me. And I don’t ever want to leave that entirely.”
That’s pretty awesome. It’s easy to like a guy who is humble and grateful for whatever got him started. They are hoping to break 100,000 in attendance at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas on April 3, 2016 and, with The Rock in attendance, they have a better chance of accomplishing the goal.
