GOP frontrunner Donald Trump now has a double-digit lead nationally in the most recent poll from Reuters/Ipsos. In the survey conducted from April 4-8, Trump garnered 42 percent support, followed by Ted Cruz at 32 percent. John Kasich was in a distant third with just 20 percent.
In recent weeks, following his comments about Heidi Cruz as well as his later-corrected statement about “punishment” for women who get abortion, Trump’s lead had narrowed in the Reuters/Ipsos poll and several others. However, it looks like he may be regaining his momentum.
For the Democrats, the poll indicated that 53 percent of Democrats support Hillary, while 43 percent would vote for Bernie.
