Michigan Governor Rick Snyder and President Obama will meet on Wednesday when the President visits Flint on Wednesday.
Snyder is expected to talk to Obama about the serious need for ongoing (and additional) federal support to help Flint recover from the water contamination crisis. Obama is also expected to meet with Flint Mayor Karen Weaver (separately from Snyder) during his one-day visit to the city.
Josh Earnest said that, in addition to meeting with officials, the President will hold a roundtable discussion and give a speech to Flint residents at a local high school.
The city is still struggling to update its water infrastructure after the water contamination sickened citizens and made the water supply unusable.
