Even sharks love Shark Week. A man was bitten by a small shark on Monday while wading in knee-deep water at Sullivan’s Island, South Carolina. The 35-year-old was just “nipped” by the 3- to 4-foot long shark. He was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
There hasn’t been a fatal shark attack in South Carolina since the 1850s.
Sharks aren’t the only thing creeping around at Sullivan’s Island. An alligator was spot in the morning surf along the beach on Monday. The gator, the third one spotted off the island this month, was captured and euthanized.
