A Georgia news anchor, Taylor Terrell, died after falling over Rainbow Falls in North Carolina on Thursday afternoon.
“Hi, I’m at Rainbow Falls. My friend got caught by the current, and I don’t know where she is, and I can’t find her,” a caller when calling 911.
Authorities say Terrell – who would have been 25 on Friday – was wading in the river that flows into the waterfall when she lost her footing. She fell into the water and was swept over the falls. Her body was recovered later on Thursday evening.
Born in Atlanta, Terrell worked for 41NBC since 2013. She was a graduate of Georgia Southern University.
