According to Politico, Democratic National Committee CEO Amy Dacey resigned from her post on Tuesday. Dacey’s resignation is the first (but not expected to be the last) since DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz stepped down on the eve of the Democratic convention.
Dacey served as CEO since 2014. She also is the former executive director of Emily’s List – an organization that works to elect pro-choice Democratic women into office.
After last week’s dump of DNC emails to WikiLeaks, many people began to realize level of corruption of Democratic leadership. It will be interesting to see how, if it at all, this affects the Clinton campaign. Since the convention, Hillary’s polling numbers have been on the rise in her match-up against Donald Trump.
