A terrifying home invasion in Philadelphia was caught on surveillance video, showing a gun-toting man bursting through an unlocked front door and terrorizing an unsuspecting couple. The robber, along with an unidentified accomplice, managed to make off with $275 cash and are still at large.

The shocking incident took place in Lawncrest in a neighborhood that has seen an increase in crime as of late. The female homeowner, who chose to remain anonymous, was watching TV in her living room when one of the suspects entered the home.

The woman ran into her dining room, frantically calling for her 46-year-old legally blind husband. Although the couple had purchased a firearm in response to reports of crime throughout the neighborhood, they claim that they were unable to reach for it before the robber had already placed a gun to the husband’s neck.

By then, the second suspect had already entered the home. The pair stole the homeowners’ firearm and searched the house for cash, going as far as to empty the husband’s pockets. After securing the stolen cash, the robbers fled the home.

Police are on the lookout for the two suspects, both of which have been described as black males who fled the scene of the crime in a black Jeep.
