Shocking cell phone footage shows the moment when a 13-year-old high school freshman was ferociously body slammed by a school administrator. The incident took place on Wednesday morning, before classes had begun, at Canyon Springs High School in North Las Vegas.
In the video below, the administrator and a school resource officer can be seen trying to put a stop to a verbal altercation between two students. Suddenly, the administrator decides to escalate the fight by grabbing the young girl and hurling her to the ground before using his body weight to pin her down.
The brutal body slam allegedly left the young girl suffering from a concussion, a strained back, and a sprained shoulder. Photos of the aftermath also show that she sustained cuts to her face.
The girl’s mother, Lucenda Randle, insists that her daughter was not going to engage in a physical fight. She plans on suing the school district and has called on the administrator in question to lose his job.
Randle also claims that although the fight broke out at 7:00 am, she was not notified until after 10:00 am. Furthermore, she says that the school did not tell her that an administrator was involved, and that other students who tried to break up the fight were suspended.
The Clark County School District has yet to release a statement on the issue and have not publicly released the administrator’s name. No word has surfaced as to whether police will launch an investigation into the incident.
