Prepare for the next level of leftist indoctrination insanity: employees at the University of Kansas Libraries have taken it upon themselves to spread the gospel of gender nonconformity by handing out buttons that display the wearer’s preferred gender pronouns.

“Because gender is, itself, fluid and up to the individual,” reads a sign posted in a campus library. “Each person has the right to identify their own pronouns, and we encourage you to ask before assuming someone’s gender.”

“Pronouns matter! Misgendering someone can have lasting consequences, and using the incorrect pronoun can be hurtful, disrespectful, and invalidate someone’s identity,” the sign continues.

So far, only three versions of the buttons have been produced. One lists “He him his” pronouns, another “She her hers,” while a third offers “They them theirs” who feel that they do not comfortably fit within either the male or female category.

While library employees are not required to wear the buttons, workers have been directed to give a pronoun pin to any student who inquiries about them. The initiative is the latest step in a campaign called “You Belong Here,” aimed to help Kansas undergraduates feel more at home.

Students who do not feel sufficiently accommodated by the buttons can also take advantage of the library’s reflection and prayer rooms, gender-inclusive bathrooms, and lactation stations.
