Superstar gymnast Aly Raisman might have dominated the Olympics twice in a row with her gold-medal winning performances, but her opportunity to bare almost all for the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue has Raisman feeling particularly accomplished.

In all, the experience left 22-year-old Aly feeling like she was on top of the world.
“It was such an empowering feeling to be so confident and happy with the way I looked,” Raisman said in an interview with Yahoo. “I work so hard for the body.”
Even though she’s rocking a perfectly toned body that has curves in all the right places, Aly is actually pretty shy when it comes to checking out the internet’s reaction to the Sports Illustrated photoshoot.
“I haven’t read my comments recently on social,” she confessed.
Aly was a household name during the 2012 Olympics in London and the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, when she was the captain for the gold medal-winning “Fierce Five” and “Final Five,” respectively. Under her guidance, the U.S. cinched the top spot in the women’s artistic team all-around in both competitions, while she also took home a slew of medals in other categories.
Currently on a break from training for the 2020 games in Tokyo, Aly has a full suite of business endeavors to hold her attention, including a balance beam landing pad, a jewelry line, and her own set of emojis.
