As part of its continued quest to sacrifice its national identity to the self-defeating ideal of globalism, Sweden has appointed some seriously kooky individuals to its highest posts of government. Take, for example, Swedish Minister for Culture and Democracy Alice Bah Kuhnke, who is now on a crusade to encourage her government to reintegrate Swedes who left the country to fight for ISIS.
Kuhnke made the deranged suggestion over the weekend during an appearance on a Swedish state-broadcasted program that centered on the roughly 300 Swedes who traveled to the Middle East to fight on behalf of radical Islamic terror groups and the 50 percent that have returned to Sweden.
“They need to be channeled back into our democratic society,” she opined, before conceding that she has no idea how many of the returnees were still radicalized and how many came back because they no longer espoused anti-Western views.
Kuhnke also placed the number of returnees who have been placed in deradicalization programs at a measly 10 to 30, expressing hope that the government would expand its breadth of services to those people – even though they specifically left Sweden to fight against the West.
As for whether the deradicalization programs were even successful in removing the harmful ideologies, Kuhnke said, “We cannot say that we have succeeded because it’s been such a short time. It is only in 10-15 years we can say that they have actually managed to leave these environments.”
Translation: Swedish people who have never courted terrorist ideologies should just cross their fingers and hope that their ISIS-fighters-turned-neighbors don’t regress to their old ways.
