An Ohio man who apparently got swindled out of his heroin stash by a tricky temptress found himself in the back of a police cruiser after making the baffling decision to call police for help in tracking down his stolen opioids.

The incident took place in Bath Township back in January but the hilarious recording was only released this week, WEWS-TV reported. In it, 20-year-old Joseph Murphy can be heard asking dispatchers to send over a K-9 unit to sniff out the drug-snatching woman.

“You need a police dog? What’s going on there?” the incredulous operator asks, to which Murphy honestly replies: “She stole heroin from me.”

Body cam footage shows what transpired when police arrived on the scene and found a clearly intoxicated Murphy stammering about a woman who stole money – not drugs – from him. When asked about the heroin that he mentioned during the 911 call, though, Murphy eventually comes clean and pulls a “brown waxy substance” from his pants.

That was enough for the officers to take Murphy under arrest and haul him to the Bath Township Police Department, where he was fingerprinted and released. Now, authorities are expecting to slap him with a felony drug possession charge pending test results from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

This isn’t even Murphy’s first time in the national spotlight. On New Year’s Day, the youngster made headlines after he allegedly urinated on a Florida trooper’s leg while getting arrested for disorderly conduct. Earlier this month, he was arrested for drunk driving after crashing a Mercedes CLK with a blood-alcohol level of 0.121.
