As if getting indoctrinated by their ultra-liberal professors weren’t enough, students at the University of Colorado at Boulder will now have the option of living and breathing the life of a social justice warrior by shacking up at Hallett Hall, which is set to be transformed into a bona fide “Social Justice Living Environment.”
The snowflake metamorphosis will take the form of a new peer mentorship program and the creation of two Living and Learning Communities, the school stated in a news release. Ironically, these groups self-identifying as “LLCs,” which is likely the only time that these unemployable gender studies majors will ever be exposed to the acronym.
Predictably, one of the LLCs effectively boils down to racial segregation by creating a section of the dorm reserved for “black-identified students and their allies,” while the other LLC “will create a community for students passionate about diversity and engaging in meaningful dialogue.” Any students interested in social justice can apply, but good look getting in if you’re a straight white male.
“Together, the communities will strive to build supportive, educational spaces that provide students with an enriched living and learning experience,” the news release continues. “And while these programs will provide residents with community support, the peer mentorship program will provide individual support to students in Hallett.”
Jaela Zellars, a sophomore who will serve as one of the peer mentors at SJW Land, made sure to publicize her oppression credentials.
“People who look at CU Boulder from the outside might see a very diverse institution, but as both a woman and a student of color, I know that we have a lot of work to do, and I want to play a part in helping to promote those changes within the residence halls,” she said. Talk about playing the victim card.
