A new report has surfaced indicating that deceased DNC staffer Seth Rich was the person behind the DNC leaks that played a significant role in tanking Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s election prospects by revealing how the party stacked the deck in favor of Clinton over progressive favorite Bernie Sanders, lending credence to what had been deemed a conspiracy theory explaining his alleged death at the hands of robbers.
According to a report by Rod Wheeler, a retired Washington homicide detective and Fox News contributor who was hired to look into 27-year-old Rich’s untimely death, Rich was the person who turned over thousands of emails to WikiLeaks that proved that Clinton was prematurely crowned the Democratic presidential candidate despite the heated primary contest between her and the Vermont senator, a progressive darling.
WikiLeaks posted its trove of sensitive DNC emails less than two weeks after Rich’s death, an exposé that was blamed on Russia’s intrusion into the 2016 presidential election and blamed for swaying a large contingent of undecided voters to back eventual victor Donald Trump over Clinton, who had been facing scrutiny over her mishandling of classified emails.
According to the report, over 44,000 emails and 17,700 attachments were transmitted from Rich to Gavin MacFayden, an American reporter with tied to WikiLeaks who has since passed away. The evidence corroborating Rich’s involvement was uncovered within an FBI forensic report on Rich’s computer that was carried out just days after his untimely death on July 10, as he was walking home in Washington D.C.
So far, Rich’s murder remains unsolved. But Wheeler’s findings lend credence to a popular theory that Rich was silenced because of his connection to the seedy underpinnings of Clinton’s campaign.
“My investigation up to this point shows there was some degree of email exchange between Seth Rich and WikiLeaks,” Wheeler told Fox News. “I do believe that the answers to who murdered Seth Rich sits on his computer on a shelf at the DC police or FBI headquarters.”
According to Wheeler, the investigation has faced a significant roadblock from a faction within the government that seeks to protect either the Democratic party and/or Clinton herself.
