A Missouri man who helped a group of stranded strippers was repaid for his good deed by getting murdered at the hands of the adult entertainers, who he invited into his home to stay while he worked on their car.

55-year-old Rachel Cross was killed in his home on August 1 after his fatal encounter with Brittany Curry, 28, Ponesha Taylor, 23, Johniesha Simmons, 19, and Lauteshia Dotson, 23, Fox 13 reported. The women were from Memphis and Nashville.

Now, all three women are facing charges of first-degree murder, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon after they allegedly slaughtered Cross in his home, even though he had gone out of his way to help them. The culprits are being held in separate jails across southeast Missouri.

According to police, Cross bought them a new tire with his own money and then offered to let the strippers stay at his home while he replaced it. His body was discovered on Tuesday morning, as was a 9mm handgun that investigators believe could be connected to the case.

A witness claims to have seen Cross arguing with three of the women while the fourth woman sat in a white car parked outside of his home, KFVS 12 reported. He also claimed to have heard a loud noise, followed by the women running out of Cross’ home and getting into the white car, with one of the women telling the witness that Cross was “tripping and do not go back down there.”

Investigators accused the women of robbing Cross after they murdered him after discovering ruffled couch cushions and pockets of pants that had been turned out, as well as other incriminating evidence. None of the four women have admitted to the murder, nor have they flipped on their accomplices.
