Somebody may want to tell Ivanka: Jared Kushner, senior advisor and son-in-law to President Donald Trump, is evidently registered to vote as a woman in New York according to state records, handing opponents a spectacularly easy avenue to attack the Trump administration.
Kushner, who originally hails from New Jersey, somehow managed to register to vote as a female in the Empire State back in November 2009, an embarrassing mix-up that was just discovered by the anti-Republican American Bridge PAC.
“Kushner can’t even fill out the most basic paperwork without screwing it up, so it’s a mystery why anyone thinks he’s somehow going to bring peace to the Middle East,” American Bridge spokesman Brad Bainum said in a statement. “Would anyone but the president’s son-in-law still have a West Wing job after repeated disclosure errors and a botched security clearance form?”
In addition to being tasked to oversee peace in the Middle East, Kushner is also responsible for solving the crippling opioid crisis gripping the United States and bringing about criminal justice reform, a portfolio so large that it has been the subject of criticism from Trump loyalists and leftists alike.
This is not the first time that Kushner has ignited controversy over a seeming inability to fill out forms correctly. Back in July, Kushner initially submitted a nearly-blank federal disclosure form that was needed to obtain a security clearance before updating it three times to include over 100 names of foreign contacts, CBS News reported.
Kushner eventually claimed that he had accidentally hit “send” before getting the chance to fully fill in the form, but eagle-eyed observers also discovered that he had gotten the dates of his graduate degrees wrong and did not include his father-in-law’s address.
