An ex-member of the hitmaking burlesque group The Pussycat Dolls has come forward to accuse her former handlers of running a “prostitution ring” and coercing the singers to “sleep with whoever” they were told. However, another former member is disputing those claims.

Kaya Jones, who was a member of the Nicole Scherzinger-led group from 2003 to 2005, took to Twitter to blast the managers of The Pussycat Dolls as exploitative and seedy.

“My truth. I wasn’t in a girl group. I was in a prostitution ring,” she announced in a series of tweets. “Oh & we happened to sing & be famous. While everyone who owned us made the $.”

“To be apart of the team you must be a team player,” Jones continued. “Meaning sleep with whoever they say. If you don’t they have nothing on you to leverage. Yes I said leverage. Meaning after they turn you out or get you hooked on drugs they use it against you. Correct. Victimizing the victim again.”

According to Jones, her time with The Pussycat Dolls was so ruinous that she abandoned the group just before they made it big with a string of hits in the mid-2000s. Despite leaving behind a $13 million record deal and her dreams of stardom, Jones believes that her time with the group could have gotten even worse.

“I want the den mother from hell to confess why another 1 of her girl group girls committed suicide? Tell the public how you mentally broke us,” Jones wrote.

Robin Antin, founder of The Pussycat Dolls and speculated to be the “den mother” Jones referred to, painted Jones’s accusations as “disgusting, ridiculous lies” and insisted that she was only part of the group on a trial basis and never as a full-fledged member.
