A California woman is suing the city of Sacramento for $1 million, alleging that perverted paramedic took the opportunity to fondle her breast while she was strapped to a gurney and being rushed to the hospital after suffering a seizure that left her unresponsive.
The lawsuit stems from an incident that occurred on April 1 of last year, when emergency responders were called to take the unidentified 19-year-old woman to the hospital, the Sacramento Bee reported.
As the woman lay incapacitated and strapped to the gurney, a paramedic intern who was in the ambulance told detectives, Sacramento Fire Department paramedic Jared David Evans gestured to her breasts and said, “take a look.”
“Evans then placed his hand down the front of V-Doe’s (the victim’s) shirt and pulled her breast out of the top of her shirt/bra and said, ‘those are some big ass nipples,’” the warrant stated.
After a minute had passed, Evans allegedly addressed the intern and said, “Sorry man, I had to.”
Six days after receiving testimony from the intern, detectives asked the woman what she remembered. She told them that while her eyes were closed and she could not move, she remembered a hand pulling her breast out of her shirt but could not say who touched her.
However, she suggested that it could have been the intern who touched her, as “she would have felt the arm of the paramedic seated at her head (Evans) come over her shoulder if he was the one that touched her,” according to the police report.
Evans denied the allegations but was arrested and charged with misdemeanor sexual battery. The Sacramento Fire Department placed him on paid administrative leave following his arrest. He faces up to six months in jail if convicted.
