Former NBA star, Dennis Rodman, was on probation when he was arrested in California on Saturday night and charged with driving under the influence after being pulled over for a traffic violation.
He was given a breathalyzer test at the scene, was booked around 11:00 p.m. and was released on Sunday after spending the night in jail. The 56-year-old was, reportedly, “completely cooperative.”
Still, this problem will likely be exacerbated by the fact that Rodman was on probation for driving the wrong way on an Orange County, CA freeway back in July 2016. It would be bad enough if this happened without incident but he actually struck a vehicle and fled the scene. He had been seen drinking at a karaoke bar just before the incident.
Rodman was lucky to get a good deal, all things considered. He was placed on 3 years probation with the condition he stay out of trouble. Well, it looks like he wasn’t able to keep up his end of the bargain.
He could face the full two years in prison that he avoided in 2016 plus anything associated with this new arrest.
