“Flight of the Conchords” Season Two

The second season of Flight of the Conchords is now available on DVD. If you’ve never seen the show you should give it a chance because I find it absolutely hilarious. Even though the three main characters are pretty clueless, the series is intelligent and clever and the music is memorable.
The show follows the lives of Bret McKenzie and Jermaine Clement who are a digi-folk duo from New Zealand. Their lives and careers are pretty terrible and their adventures in New York City (with their awful manager, Murray) will have you cracking up – especially when they spontaneously break into song (the most memorable one for me this past season was “You Don’t Have to Be a Prostitute”).
To make matters worse, they have to contend with a stalker, a married woman named Mel, who turns up outside of their apartment, at their gigs, etc… She’s creepy but supportive at the same time so it’s hard to hate her!
HBO is considering doing a third season but they are waiting to Clement and McKenzie to give them the green light. I hope it all comes together! In the meantime, I’ll just re-live season two.

I’m hoping for a third season too! I wonder if they’re going to release an album of Season 2 songs.
