10 Places Favre Might End Up

With everything going on now between Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers, it makes sense that many sports analyst are beginning to brettfavre_nc.jpgspeculate as to where Favre is going to be once the football season begins. Just this morning, Peter King said on ESPN Radio that he has no idea what’s going to happen but he has a slight hunch Favre might stay in Green Bay.

I have to agree with him. As it is right now, the Packers and Favre have been in one of those long term relationships where, even when it ends, it’s just hard to walk away. There’s intensity at both ends of the spectrum, it’s a love/hate kind of thing and the more things change the more things stay the same. Maybe they’ll kiss and make up. I don’t know. But I think that letting Favre go to another team would be a HUGE mistake.

Here’s 10 places Favre might end up, according to Nate Davis of USA Today:

Baltimore Ravens
Favre’s agent, James “Bus” Cook, has experience placing former MVP quarterbacks in this town.

Buffalo Bills
If it’s familiar surroundings Favre seeks, there’s no NFL town more similar to Green Bay than Buffalo.

Carolina Panthers
Throwing to Steve Smith, Muhsin Muhammad and D.J. Hackett could really get Favre’s juices flowing.

Chicago Bears
The Bears possess one of the most uncertain quarterback situations in the league.

Detroit Lions
Jon Kitna isn’t the long-term answer and neither are his back ups. (or Favre??)

Houston Texans
With the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints set under center, the Texans might provide Favre the best opportunity to play near his Mississippi home.

Minnesota Vikings
Probably the most intriguing possibility.

New York Jets
The Jets, who planned to draft Favre in 1991 before the Atlanta Falcons beat them to the punch.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
What’s one more quarterback in Tampa?

Washington Redskins
Is there any doubt that owner Dan Snyder isn’t at least mulling this option?

For a closer look at why these teams might be interested in Favre, go here.

If the Packers do end up trading Favre after all then come football season, Ted Thompson will be standing on the sidelines pining away just like a jealous boyfriend and regretting the fact that Favre is on the other side in a different jersey.

Where do you think Favre is going to end up?
