10,000 policemen to guard Turin

According to a recent AP article, Italy isn’t leaving anything to chance for the Olympics.

They’ve sent in 10,000 policemen to act as guards during the Olympics, and they’ll have a couple surveilence planes as well.

“All events which attract public attention, be they elections or the Olympics, are, by definition, events upon which terrorists’ attention can concentrate,” Fini told the Italian news agency Apcom.

“This does not signify that there is a risk, but it is an assessment which is made in all the world.”
