101 Great Answers to the Toughest Interview Questions by Ron Fry is the best book on the market in my opinion. This book will change the way you interview for jobs. It will teach you how to effectively interview for jobs if you do what Ron Fry recommends. There are no silver bullets for anything in life, but there are proven principles that will work uniformly across the board if you apply them. I have 2 books to give-a-way at the end of this week!! Read on!
101 Great Answers to the Toughest Interview Questions got me my first management job years ago.
101 Great Answers to the Toughest Interview Questions
helped a generation X’er get his first promotion in a traditional corporate organization, eye brow piercing and everything.
101 Great Answers to the Toughest Interview Questions was the spark that helped me write my workshop, Tough Questions? Great Answers! back in 1999. And the workshop has help countless people interview for great jobs and get the jobs they want.
This book is not a respecter of people. It will help anyone, at any level interview better. It is a book chock-full of recommendations, questions and answers that will make a difference in how you walk into an interview if you apply the principles.
I have never met Ron Fry. I don’t even think he knows I exist, but I have been reading his book, using his book, recommending his book since 1991. I believe I read the first edition way back then.

Sounds like an interesting book!
1. Name – Carol Chenot
2. Must include a good email address – carol@jobrejoov.com
3. Tell what type of job you are in the market for – HR Professional / Talent Management / Learning & Development. Director level
4. Tell us how long you have been searching for a job – Since November 8, 2008
5. What is the greatest struggle you are facing in your job search – I do not live in a major metropolitan area and corporate roles are few and far between. (We’re best known for our broccoli and strawberries! :>) Being a remote employee for the past 10 years has worked fine out of this home office, but now most companies i apply to seem to want someone at more senior levels (especially managing others) to be out of their corporate office. That doesn’t stop me from applying – but I believe it does stop me from getting responses like I would if I were in Chicago or Atlanta or NJ.
Thanks, Darlene – you’re doing a great job!!

3. Tell what type of job you are in the market for
Currently I’m a technical writer. I write user manuals for a manufacturer of consumer audio/video electronics.
I am also licensed to practice law in New York and Connecticut.
4. Tell us how long you have been searching for a job
My company informed me in January that they will be closing my office in June, and that I will be laid off June 19th.
5. What is the greatest struggle you are facing in your job search besides not being able to get a job in this economy. What else seems to be in the way?
There isn’t much call for writers of user manuals for consumer products right now. As for law, I haven’t practiced in almost 20 years, which makes me automatically irrelevant.
Thanks for listening.
My name is Saul. My email is: sbergcpa@aol.com.
I am a CPA and CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) from Long Island.
I am looking for a position as a forensic accountant/fraud examiner.
I have been searching for a position for a year now.
My biggest hurdle now seems to be the fact that my last three jobs were short-lived(the accounting industry is notorious for revolving doors), and potential employers can’t seem to believe that I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time….
I would like to enter the Book Give-a-way.
Thanks.

Hi Gina,
Thanks for stopping by and leaving your entry for the book give-a-way. So I have a question for you. What do you want to do next? Is there something that you have always wanted to do, that you thought – “it’s too later?” If so, I dare you to step out there and make it happen. Despite the challenging times we live in, you can find a job, or start a business. I know it may sound crazy but I know it’s true. I would love to hear back from you. What do you want to do next? Stop by again and let me know!

Hi Saul,
Thanks for stopping by bizzia Careers! I would love to see your resume. How are you answering the question – “So, why are you looking for a job? or What happened at your last job or your last 3 jobs?” There is a way to frame your answer so that the hiring manager doesn’t get stuck on the last 3 opportunities, no matter how long you worked them.
If you would like me to take a look at your resume, please forward a copy to me through email. I will review it and get back to you. Email:darlingmcdaniel@gmail.com.
Thanks, Darlene
Hi Brian, Thanks for stopping by Careers. It is definitely very discouraging attempting to find a job in this market. If you are just pushing your resume and cover letter out, hoping to get a response, you may want to update your Job Search Strategy. Networking is definitely the name of the game right now. What new people have you met in the last 6 months? How many of them know somebody you need to know? If you have questions about networking your way into a job, feel free to leave a comment. There is a job out there waiting for you. Thanks for your entry for the book give-a-way.
Feel free to stop by any time and let me know how I can assist you in your job search!
Have a great day!
Darlene
