1112 May Be Headed for WiiWare

In news that is oddly related to yesterday’s post, I accidentally stumbled upon a post over at PopLife that says that the iPhone/iTouch game, 1112, may be coming to the Wii. It would seem that the iPhone’s touchy feely interface would probably translate well into a Wii game.
There is a problem, however. Wiiware only allows developers 42 megabytes of space when creating a game. For the iPhone, 1112 ran a fairly high 128 megabytes, meaning there would be a lot taken out or the game might have to be broken up into even more sections. What kills me is that 42 megabytes isn’t big anymore. Hell, you can upload a 1 gig video to YouTube, and that’s a free service. Nintendo is making a profit off of games sold on WiiWare, so you’d think they’d up the limit! Or maybe the Wii has some type of weird download limitation. Hmmm…
I think this would be an awesome move for 1112’s developer, Agharta Studios. They haven’t really got a name for themselves yet, so this may help them branch out.
