15% of UK 360 Owners Think They’re MacGyver

HOLY CRAP MONKEYS!

According to a piece I just read on Game Politics, a CNET UK survey is showing a 60% fail rate on Xbox 360s.

60 freakin’ percent!

Now, if you read through Game Politic’s article, you’ll see that the folks who bought their 360s after Jan. ‘08 had a fail rate of 34%. So, that’s not as bad but still sucks.

What really cracks me up are the 15% of people who responded that they either junked their junk 360s or tried “to fix it themselves”. Really?! 15% of the folks who answered the CNET UK survey actually decided to rip open their 360s and fix it themselves? I say the whole 15% since I just can’t see someone just throwing something out without trying to fix it first.

Imagine the bragging rights!

Game Politics goes on to say that 16% of PS3s broke and 6% of Wiis were junk.

And, on a totally random bit of something here, if you go to the CNET UK piece, check out the image they used. EVEN THOUGH the 360 came up first in this poll where you don’t wanna be #1, they have the PS3 going up in flames. WTF?

So, of course I have to ask, have you had issues with any of your consoles? Did you send them back to be fixed or did you dive right on in there andMacGyver it?
