1st Ever Sharepoint Conference

May 17, 2006 by Jason Bean

For the first time ever, there is a Microsoft conference specifically about Sharepoint. It’s the Microsoft Sharepoint Conference 2006 (I know, I know, very original name). Anyway, this is the first ever and Bill Gates himself gave the opening keynote address.

Thanks to Milo for the heads up, he’s attending in person and will be giving details on his blog. I’m sure we’ll get some more scoop soon.

Stay tuned!

SharePoint already has a 2001 and 2003 version. 75 million licenses sold. SharePoint 2007 is gonna be 500% (so much bigger I think) so much more powerful than its predecessor. It’s going to rock on its release date. I believe the future of Microsoft will depend a lot on the success of this product called SharePoint. It is at the core of Office suite. Every Microsoft technology from mobile, desktop, services will go through SharePoint. :)
