It’s countdown time – we’re 9 days before the 2008 NFL draft, so every day here at BCS Frenzy, I’m going to bring you resources, news, and opinions as part of the draft countdown!
On the 9th day before the draft, BCS Frenzy gave to me:
12 mock draft websites
11 early entries
10 past draft flops
9 no-name sleepers
8 returning juniors
7 draft opinions
6 Heisman winners
5 great quarterbacks
4 draft-deciding moments
3 smartest Miami moves
2 overrated “stars”
and 1 debate over salary rules…
9 No-Name Sleepers
Everyone’s talking about Jake Long and Matt Ryan and the other players expected to go in the top ten during the NFL draft. However, this year’s draft class is VERY talented, so every if you have the very last pick of the first round, you’ll get someone good. The following nine guys are players that no one is really talking about, but I think that they’ll do well in the NFL and eventually be some of the best players on the field. Hey, with the right coaching and opportunity, anything is possible. Just ask Tom Brady.
- Chris Johnson, Running Back, East Carolina
- Quentin Grovers, Defensive End, Auburn
- Justin King, Cornerback, Penn State
- Colt Brennen, Quarterback, Hawaii
- Felix Jones, Running Back, Arkansas
- Sam Baker, Offensive Tackle, USC
- Aqib Talib, Defensive Back, Kansas
- Trevor Laws, Defensive Tackle, Notre Dame
- Leodis McKelvin, Cornerback, Troy
Honorable Mentions: Dan Connor, Chris Williams, Fred Davis, Josh Johnson, Limas Sweed
