Ford invented the Sport Utility Truck (SUT) back in 2000. Since then it has become a common option among other brands of Sport Utility Vehicles. Now in its second generation, the 2009 Ford Explorer Trac is a nice light vehicle that will get you wherever you want to go.

Larger than the original, the Explorer SUT is designed to take on more passengers, more equipment and more fun. The design is all too similar to a truck and looks as if a F-150 had its back chopped off. Despite the look the Explorer SUT is convenient and practical for towing and off-road use.
The Explorer SUT comes in either a rear wheel or four wheel drive system. The four wheel drive option is obviously better suited for off-road use or just in case emergency situations. The Explorer SUT comes with the powerful 4.0L V6 that is all power, however if you are looking at some serious towing capabilities be sure to check out the 4.6L V8 that can carry up to 7,000 lbs on its back.
