The light and impressive 2009 Ford Ranger might see its last year into production, but truck lovers will always remember their little pickup that knew no boundaries.

I saw the 2009 Ford Ranger on The Price is Right this morning and though I’d look into it a little better.  The first thing you cannot help but notice is the price.  With a starting price of just $16,395 and 21/26 mpg, this is the answer to work versatility and economy.

This fourth generation Ranger was designed to be a compact version of the F series truck.  With the gradual lean of consumers towards SUV’s sales of the Ranger have declined.  Some have rumoured that this will be the last year the Ranger will be put into production.  So if you were looking for a Ranger now is the time to get one before they are discontinued.

The Ranger comes with a compact 2.4L SOHC I4 engine. But don’t be deceived by it’s size, the engine can produce an impressive 120 hp and 149 lb·ft of torque, bringing its towing capacity up to 6000 lbs.
