You may not think luxury SUV when one says Hyundai but they have created what could be the saviour of the Hyundai image. The all new 2009 Hyundai Veracruz is their latest creation and is designed to be an inexpensive cross-over SUV that can compete with the other luxury cross-overs.

2009 Hyundai Veracruz
The Veracruz has a starting value of just over $27,000 with their base model and can reach over $38,000 with the limited and fully loaded trim. The Veracrus comes with their standard 3.8L DOHC V6 engine. Standard size for a crossover SUV.
What really impresses me is the safety rating. I don’t believe any other car in it’s class has been this impressive. The Veracruz comes with standard Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) with Brake Assist, Advanced front airbags, front seat-mounted side airbags and roof-mounted side curtain airbags; Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and Active front head restraints. The Veracrus received flying reviews from the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave it their best possible rating.
