Known for having poor reliability ratings in the past, the new 2009 Mercedes S-Class is poised to be on top. The S-Class comes in a range of trims to suite any car preference.
The base starts with the 3.0L diesel V6 at 235-hp engine but ranges up to the monstrous 612-hp 6.0L V8 turbo engine. That’s some serious power when considering the fact that this isn’t a truck. The car is large though, providing ample room in the front and back seats.

If you are more interested in safety the S-Class has it all. The latest in active safety technology like the brake assist and stability control, and passive safety control like side curtain airbags and a superbly engineered and crash tested body.
