Despite being a large SUV, the 2009 Nissan Murano has remained just a five seater. Powerful, roomy and its exciting look makes the new Murano a great alternative to the typical boring suburban SUV.

The first impressions of the Nissan Murano are the stunning details on the front fender. Resembling a type of robotic monster, the Murano looks it was designed to impress.

If you are not impressed by the new Murano design, then you will like the fact that it comes loaded will great perks. In the higher trim pack you can expect getting luxurious seats, Bluetooth capability, Bose speakers, GPS, iPod connectivity and more.

If you aren’t yet impressed with the design than you will fall in love with what’s under the hood. The Murano comes fully equipped with a 3.5L 265hp V6 engine. The All Wheel Drive is helped by the futuristic Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CTV). What that basically means is that the transmission doesn’t have to chance gears. Instead a variable transmission changes output speed on a continuous basis. This helps create a smother ride and reduced fuel use.

If you think that the 2009 Nissan Murano is right for you check out your local Nissan dealership for more details. Expect to pay around $39,348 for a base model and up wards to $47,498 for the higher end trim.

  1. I agree that the Murano is the best in class with all the options of the 45-55k suv/crossovers out there. It’s the only car it the catorgory that got the top award from consumer reports. The thing I love about consumer reports is it’s not a huge marketing company you pay 100,000’s of thousands of dollars to publish some scheme. I work for nissan of Redlands I head the Internet department here and if anyone is looking for a great car for a great price feel free to contact me please let me know how you got in contact with me. I am looking forward to this up coming year for nissan and what it has to offer all of us.
