It seems that I’m seeing more and more of the older Porsche Boxters on the road today now that summer has arrived. What was an original lure to the Porsche brand can now be found again in the new 2009 Porsche Boxster.

2009 Porsche Boxster
Originally the engine was mounted in the front to take advantage of the light air cooled engine. The flat engine gave the Porsche it’s flat nosed look that has become synonymous with the Porsche today.
The Boxster comes available in either the 2.7L or 3.4L flat engine that is actually mounted in the center of the car. Not a bad place for a fast light car. This allows the Porsche to achieve a balanced handling. It’s also great for trunk space as the Boxster has a trunk space in the front and back. This however is not the best scenario when it comes to having passengers – the car only has room for two. Though a small car the Porsche has a surprising amount of leg space.
