24th SEA Games: Philippines Finishes 6th Place Over-all

Just a quick shout out to all Filipino athletes who competed in the 24th South East Asian Games, finishing at 6th is a great achievement! You make us all proud! You guys won a total of 41 gold medals out of 228 medals in total! Yay!
I know there are people out there thinking that this is the worst performance by the country’s delegates esp coming from the last SEA Games wherein we ranked 1st. Then comparing the ratio of the medal tally among those ranked higher.
I believe you guys did the best you could and will be open to further improvement. It doesn’t really matter if bit about the ‘unfair and biased officiating’ of the host country occurred or not. No sense in ‘protesting’ now esp since all the medals have been awarded. Let due process take its course if ever it does become formal — investigating the allegations and such.
No matter. You guys are still awesome!

What else is new? i have been expecting it though deep inside there is this great wish that the philippines will shine…..kudos to Filipino athletes for doing their best and shame to those Philippine officials who were part of those trapos……
