3 Backlash Matches Announced on Raw
- Mickie James & Candice Michelle def. WWE Women’s Champion Melina & Victoria
- Cade & Murdoch def. Ric Flair & Carlito
- Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Orton (No winner announced)
- World Tag Team Champions The Hardys def. The World’s Greatest Tag Team (Non-Title Match)
- ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley def. Shane McMahon (Title vs. Hair Match; DQ)
Very good Raw last night in my opinion with much of the matches for Backlash coming to fruition. The first match will be a tag team match between the current champions The Hardys and Cade & Murdoch who competed in a top contenders match against Ric Flair and Carlito eventually picking up the win.
The other two matches will be much more significant to the event. The first will be a 3-on-1 handicap match with ECW Champion Bobby Lashley facing Shane McMahon, Vince McMahon, and Umaga. WWE started to hype this fight already with the trio attacking Lashley on Raw last night until the show went off the air.
The final match that was announced will be a four way match between WWE Champion John Cena, Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels, and Edge facing off with the winner earning the WWE Championship. I am excited about this match and think this might be the opportunity they use to get the championship away from Cena and get it to someone else.
