The image above is a screenshot of the homepage for TweetChat. As you can see, it gives you the three steps to follow so that you can get started using their service. Once you sign-in using your Twitter login, you can then choose a hashtag to follow and interact with in real-time.
Some of the ways that you might consider using this website as part of your social media strategy are:
- During your BlogTalkRadio.com show. Encourage your listening to log into TweetChat and follow your chosen hashtag so that you can get the word out on Twitter and other social media networks during your show. I picked this one up from @WarrenWhitlock who using TweetChat during his Friday evening calls along with the hashtag #TCR (for TwitCast Radio – http://TwitCastRadio.com).
- During live events. Encourage your attendees to sign into TweetChat to communicate with others at the event via your chosen hashtag and to help get the word out about your event.
- During fundraisers. You can encourage those who contribute to your fundraiser to add your hashtag to the end of their tweets on Twitter. Then ask them to follow your hashtag via TweetChat so they can interact with others who have contributed also.
