68 Freelance Writing Jobs

Wow… 68 new freelance writing jobs… the holiday slow-down didn’t last long!

For who knows what reason, I was thinking about looking for writing jobs before the ‘net. What I remember is that it was way more difficult. It meant combing the Sunday papers of large cities, passing out dozens of business cards all the time and generally working for referrals from clients and anyone else.

For example, I got one job as the founding editor of a monthly newspaper for seniors and I was one of two or three applicants. Sure there were a few problems with the ad they’d placed in the paper, but never-the-less.

Today it’s vastly different. Employers and publishers have tapped into the net with their postings. It also means they receive hundreds of responses, even more.

This means you have to sharpen up your response in order to get noticed and to the interview.

Write well and often,

Anne Wayman
