Facebook is coming to the big screen in a film adaptation which might be written by Aaron Sorkin, best known for creating hit TV shows like “The West Wing.” The Facebook movie is still untitled and will be about the founders of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes who created the social networking site while they were students at Harvard University.
What started as a membership site for Harvard students quickly grew to become one of the most popular social networking sites online with over 100 million users across the globe.
What do you think? Would you go see it?

Wow, this certainly the WTF moment of the week.
I have to say that, yes, I would go see the movie because I’m a huge computer/tech geek. I definitely enjoyed “Pirates of Silicon Valley”, which portrayed the founding and early years of Apple Computers, but I find it odd that they’re making this movie in the first place. After all, the story of Facebook has only just begun. Imagine if someone had commissioned a MySpace movie back in 2004, or a Friendster flick back in 2001.
Remember Pets.com? That might actually make a good flick these days only because the first dot com bubble has already burst and that story has come to close.
Also, I don’t think Zuckerberg and his crew are that interesting. What’s the movie going to be about? A bunch of programmers?
As always, I agree with you, Prescott. And thanks for reminding me of Pets.com. I loved that sock puppet in the commercials!
