Mom always said that “when life serves you lemons, just make lemonade.” Or was that Forrest Gump…

Anyway, how impressed was I with the women of the Texas polygamous sect for starting their own clothing line business! I know, I know, kind of weird circumstances, but you have GOT to give those ladies credit for being entrepreneurs. I mean, hey, if this hadn’t happened to them, (you know, the taking away of the children and all from the mind-control camp) then they never, EVER would have been inspired to start this (uhm) fashion clothing line. They took a negative situation and turned it to work in their favor. You go girls!

You know, I’ve had a couple of glasses of lemondade in my day myself. Yes, I too have been faced with dire circumstances and have questioned where was it that I needed to go next. It can be a challenge to find light in certain circumstances, but nevertheless, making those circumstances work for you can prove to be so very beneficial. Just like the Texas women. What an inspiration!

Lemonade is a great, refreshing drink. Goes well with almost anything. The only thing about it though is if you don’t drink it up within a few days, it starts tasting more and more tart, eventually becoming unbearable. So with that, I’d like to leave a quick business-ey blurb for my fellow Texas entrepreneurial sisters:

Milk this for all you can get while you can. When the excitement wears off and things return back to normal for you (hopefully, not so normal for you), your clothing line may begin to suffer a little. Thing is, women are trying to take it all off, not put more on, so your clothing concept just might not work so well. Think about hiring new designers or fashion consultants. Just realize that all good things must come to an end (thank goodness!)
