A Little Slapstick At The Chicago Marathon

You just ran 26.2 miles faster than anybody else around you. The crowd is cheering you on as you approach the finish line. You wave in appreciation You’ve trained years for this moment. All that dedication is about to pay off as you pass through the (extraordinarily large) tape to become the Chicago Marathon winner. Then, as you are about to break the tape, this happens. Ouch. At least you technically crossed the finish line. You’re still the winner. But now video is circulating the internet of you falling on your ass. Luckily, there’s no video footage of you pissing yourself at mile 10 and your toenails falling out at mile 23. Otherwise, it could have been a really bad day.
