A Moodle of Learning

I’ve been around open source projects for awhile, but until recently, oddly, I had not heard of Moodle. Moodle (not to be mistaken for a moogle – one of those cute furry white creatures that save your game in Final Fantasy) is an open source software tool developed for learning environments.
Specifically, Moodle subscribes to 4 principles of learning which is so common sense as to be ridiculously obvious:
- People actively construct new knowledge as they interact with their environment.
- Learning is particularly effective when constructing something for others to experience.
- When one is immersed in a culture, one is learning all the time about how to be a part of that culture.
- The concept of "Separate" or "Connected" behavior where a student uses objective "separate" approaches or empathetic "connected" tactics when dealing with situations.
To that end, Moodle attempts to provide online students with modes of learning which enhance the individuals ability to learn and grasp the world around them.
I’m hoping to understand more of the Moodle paradigm as times goes by,

The main players in this endeavor are Tom Murdock, Gina, Sheila and Brian who look to be doing a fabulous job with a rare startup right here in Baltimore City. [...]
