A National Day for Punctuation?

question_mark.jpgI guess so… and it’s today, according to Chip Scanlan of Poynter Online. He’d know, I guess. He links to the official site for the day which even has a meatloaf recipe, complete with suggestions about how to form the dish into punctuation marks. Oh my.

I do rather like the suggestions for how to celebrate the day… sleep late, circle errors in a newspaper… I think I’ll print this out for my neighbor who is having a birthday today and is a bit blue… bound to change his mood one way or another.

How will you celebrate? Leave a comment if you’d like.

I think it’s great to have a national day for punctuation. Maybe people will commemorate this day by learning why “the dogs collar was fifteen dollar’s” is just wrong, wrong wrong!

    Melissa – good one!
