A New Event in the Olympic Programme?

A thought crossed my mind earlier about an event that should be part of the Olympic Programme.
Why ever not? You really don’t believe that this particular contact sport is limited to the Japanese now, do you? I didn’t think so. Pffft.
Sources tell me that though this particular sport is only exclusively practiced in Japan, uh, well — Professional Sumo, at least. But I know that there have been foreigners or sumo wrestlers of a different nationality who have competed in tournaments and some were even successful enough to achieve Sekitori status.
Alright, granted that this sport isn’t really practiced anywhere else that can be comparable to Japan’s, I’m sure there is interest in the sport, right? Why else would there be foreigners travelling all the way to Japan to train and compete? I reckon it’s a matter of gaining support from somewhere and promoting the sport in respective countries.
Well, I’m getting ahead of myself. I just thinking that since there’s a growing problem in obesity, might as well push these individuals to something that will allow them to be as big as they possibly can and still do something worth while other than stuffing themselves till they kill themselves. Hahaha.
I am, of course, only kidding around.
But it’s a nice thought, eh? It’s was just a suggestion anyway. Heh.
